2020 NFL Mock Draft: Four teams land their QB of the future
19. Detroit Lions: Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU
The Lions could use some young talent in their secondary after missing on Teez Tabor in the second round in 2017. With Darius Slay’s contract set to end after the 2020 season, Detroit would be smart to have a backup plan in case he does not return. Current LSU Tiger, Kristian Fulton, would be a quality addition for the Lions.
Many believe Fulton is the best corner in the draft, and there is plenty of evidence to support that claim.
A five-star recruit out of high school, Fulton has been terrific thus far in 2019, following up his impactful junior campaign where he deflected 9 balls and came down with an interception against Jake Fromm and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Fulton’s potential and the Lions’ lack of immediate need for a starter make this a low-risk, high-reward option.
20. Seattle Seahawks: Raekwon Davis, DT, Alabama
Nearly the entire Seattle defensive line is slated for free agency in 2020, so they will likely need to fill at least one of those slots come draft time. One name still available that just screams Seahawk to me is defensive tackle Raekwon Davis out of Alabama.
Davis has incredible length that he knows how to use to his advantage. He proves stronger than most opposing lineman and does well to push them backward while maintaining his vision. This makes him an outstanding run defender and he has proven promising ability as an interior rusher as well.
Davis checks just about every box you could want if you’re looking for an inside presence, so he goes 20th overall in this 2020 NFL mock draft.
