2020 NFL Mock Draft: Four teams land their QB of the future
11. Baltimore Ravens: Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State
The Baltimore Ravens are so close to having a Super Bowl-caliber team, but they’re going to need their defense to get back to its 2018 form if that is going to happen. Specifically, the secondary is going to need a big improvement.
The Ravens allow over 300 yards per game through the air this season, which is the third-highest total in the NFL, and more than the lowly Miami Dolphins allow.
Ohio State’s Jeffrey Okudah is one of several popular picks to be the top corner drafted in 2020, and he also fits the mold of what the Ravens like in their defensive backs.
He has some of the best ball skills in this class, excels in man coverage and at 6’1 he has the length they appreciate in a cover man.
12. New York Giants: Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson
The New York Giants may just have their new franchise quarterback in Daniel Jones, but if he’s going to take the steps he needs to take to be successful, he needs more weapons.
While Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram are quality young pass catchers, Jones could benefit from having a long receiver added to the mix.
Tee Higgins would be an excellent addition to the Giants collection of young talent on offense and would provide that big-bodied, jump ball receiver that they don’t have at the moment.
Higgins has a big-time catch radius and will go get it when the ball is in flight. He shows a solid understanding of body positioning and is a long strider that can win without having elite speed.
