Physical

Burrow is not going to wow you in any discipline of his athleticism, from his speed to his arm strength to his stature in the pocket. At 6’4”, 216 pounds. He is not small by any means, but does not have the build or athleticism of many comparable quarterbacks. He still has time to grow physically, but will likely have to do it behind an established starter for his first year in the league.

Burrow does not often throw deep down the field, but when forced to fit the ball into tight windows, he gets the job done well. Many times, Burrow will extend his time by rolling out and find a receiver either in the back of the end zone or along a sideline, skirting coverage. These throws aren’t going to amaze anyone, but they will get the job done when needed.

Burrow has also shown the ability to get outside and make plays with his legs. Burrow will never be the quarterback to design runs around, or even thought of as a scrambler, but he will make runs for first downs when everything else breaks down around him.

On the whole, Burrow will never become the elite athlete to break a game open with his legs, but he is serviceable enough to make plays when called upon (very similar to Mitchell Trubisky).
