The New York Giants have ushered in the Daniel Jones era. How can they surround him in the 2020 NFL Draft to keep the franchise moving forward?

Following his stellar performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a follow-up win against the Washington Redskins, New York Giants fans are no longer in a state of pure agony over the Daniel Jones selection.

As a matter of fact, any Giants fan who watched Jones in preseason play could probably see that this guy was a much better player and prospect than he was given credit for coming out of Duke.

Jones has the arm talent and accuracy already, and he sees the field exceptionally well. He is truly cut from the Manning cloth and you can see shades of both Eli and Peyton in the way he operates a game.

Unlike Eli and Peyton, however, Jones has exceptional mobility and speed.

He won’t play like a star in every game over the course of the next three months, but there’s plenty to be hopeful about if you’re a New York Giants fan with Jones’ emergence, Saquon Barkley (who is unfortunately going to be out for a few weeks), and some of the playmakers stepping up with Odell Beckham having the time of his life in Cleveland like Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard.

The Giants will get Golden Tate back from suspension next week as well.

So how will the Giants continue to build this team around Jones moving forward?

They have their own top three picks in next year’s class and are projected to receive another third-round compensatory pick after losing safety Landon Collins.

Let’s take a crack at projecting the Giants’ top five picks in the 2020 NFL Draft as they build around Jones, Barkley, and the rest of this new core.
