Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

Washington quarterback Jacob Eason is the most interesting and important 2020 NFL draft prospect in this game. Eason was firing dart all over the field last week in Washington’s 45-19 victory over BYU. In that game, he completed 24/28 passes for 290 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

For the season, Eason has completed 73.1% of his passes for 1,063 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. He has made a smooth transition into the Washington offense and has consistently made plays down the field.

Eason’s arm strength immediately stands out on tape. He has fantastic natural arm talent, showing the ability to hit any throw on the field, and has the velocity to fit the ball into small windows.

He is also an accurate passer who consistently hits his spots. Eason understands how to lead receivers and protect them in the middle of the field. His deep ball is almost always on point, hitting his receivers down the field in stride most of the time.

We know Eason has the talent to be a top quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft, we just need to see him prove it throughout the course of the season. So far, he has been great, but this game against USC will be his biggest test to date and could go a long way towards establishing his 2020 NFL Draft status.
