NFL trade rumors: Which teams should trade for Jalen Ramsey?
Dallas Cowboys
A team that could have drafted Ramsey in 2016, the Dallas Cowboys opted for running back Ezekiel Elliott at fourth overall. Now, Dallas may have a chance to roster both All-Pros. Another team that is hoping to break through for a sustained playoff run, and may be a shutdown corner away from being able to do so.
The secondary has been an area of concern for the Cowboys for a while now. They always seem to be rumored to any defensive back that comes available via trade or in free agency. Like the Chiefs, the Cowboys have some solid options at corner, but no one like Jalen Ramsey.
Bringing in a true outside corner like Ramsey may allow the Cowboys to move Byron Jones back to safety if they want to do so. If not, a cornerback trio of Ramsey, Jones, and either Chidobe Awuzie or Anthony Brown would be stout. And if they like Awuzie and Brown enough to let Jones go in free agency after this season, Ramsey would certainly lessen the blow of that departure.

The Cowboys are off to a 2-0 start to their season but have faced two teams that are off to an 0-2 start in the Giants and Redskins. The true status of their secondary will likely be revealed in the coming weeks against Aaron Rodgers in week five and Carson Wentz and the Eagles in week seven. But it may be wise for Dallas to look into adding some talent to their secondary before those tests.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles and Cowboys seem to be the clear favorites for a neck-and-neck battle for the NFC East title. Through two weeks, Dallas has a bit of an upper hand with their 2-0 start. Philly dropped a heart-breaker to the Falcons on Sunday night, and in that loss, the Eagles secondary was exposed by the Atlanta receivers.
After suffering injuries up and down the roster the first two weeks, the Eagles may have bigger needs in terms of trade target positions if they are looking to make a move. But the need for a shutdown corner is clear. Julio Jones went for 106 yards and two touchdowns and was instrumental in beating the Eagles on Monday night. I doubt he would have been quite as effective if Jalen Ramsey was shadowing him.
Howie Roseman is always working the phones, wheeling and dealing to make the Eagles roster better. I’m sure if Ramsey is on the market, Philly will likely be one of the first teams to pick up the phone. While they may have larger concerns depending on the severity of some injuries, Ramsey to the Eagles would put them in the driver’s seat in the NFC East, and give them a very good chance to reach the Super Bowl once again.
