After finding an impact defender in the first round of this mock draft, the Carolina Panthers work on their offense in the second round. Wide receiver stands out as a potentially massive need for the Panthers going forward. Between D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel, they have a couple of interesting young playmakers at wide receiver, but they are both specifically speed receivers who drastically lack size at the position.

I could easily see Carolina looking to add a receiver with size to the mix in the 2020 NFL Draft. Luckily for them, this wide receiver class is going to be loaded and they find a big receiver with great upside in the second round of this mock draft.

Tee Higgins is a big, long and athletic wide receiver who has a tremendous catch radius. He has a successful basketball background and that is extremely obvious when watching him make plays on the field. Higgins is a fantastic contested-catch weapon who does need the most accurate quarterback to make plays in the passing game.

Higgins is the perfect kind of player to add to the Carolina Panthers passing attack and specifically a great fit for the erratic Newton. Snagging him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft could be a massive steal for this team.
