Carolina Panthers: Seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft
After a loss to the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, the Carolina Panthers now sit at 0-2 on the season. While they may be able to turn their season around, things are not looking great at the moment. Let’s look ahead at how they could potentially fix their roster with a complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.
At 0-2, the Carolina Panthers are undoubtedly going to have an uphill battle to the postseason in 2019. Since 2002, which is when the NFL moved to their current eight-division situation, only 16 out of a possible 140 teams who started the season 0-2 made the playoffs. Basically, based on recent history, an NFL team that starts the season 0-2 only has an 11 percent chance to make the postseason.
All hope is not lost for the Panthers. Last season, but the Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks started the year 0-2 and fought their way into the playoffs. That being said, losing to a bad team like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is not a good sign. The Panthers have a lot of work to do if they are going to be competitive this season.
Panthers superstar quarterback Cam Newton looks terrible out there. He is not running the ball at all and he has been unable to place his passes with any sort of consistency. If the Carolina Panthers are going to turn their season around, they are going to need a much better performance out of Newton the rest of the way.
When it comes down to it, I do not believe that the Panthers have what it takes to turn this around. I am not saying that they should give up on the season, but I think it is fair for us to start looking at what they can do to improve their roster next offseason. With that in mind, let’s take a look at a possible 2020 NFL Draft scenario for the team with this complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.
