Who are the top 2020 NFL Draft prospects to watch in the college football matchup of the weekend between Iowa and Iowa State?

All eyes will be on the Hawkeye State this weekend as the Iowa State Cyclones will play host to the Iowa Hawkeyes. This game may not have as much NFL Draft talent as a premier SEC matchup or most Big Ten games, but make no mistake about it, these are two strong teams who have many  NFL Draft prospects to keep an eye on.

This is the most anticipated matchup between these two in-state rivals in recent memory. As a lifetime Iowa resident and massive football fan, I feel as if I am in a good position to make this assessment.

The 19th-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes enter this game with big-time aspirations and a team who could make a legitimate run at a Big Ten title. Iowa has looked great through its first two games and should be considered the favorites to at least win the Big Ten West this season. However, the Iowa State Cyclones are no slouches and would love nothing more than to knock off their in-state rivals on Saturday.

Head coach Matt Campbell has this Iowa State program on track, and despite their near-loss to Northern Iowa in the season-opener, they also have high aspirations this season. Iowa State has impact players on both sides of the ball and they will be an extremely tough test for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa has gone 4-1 against Iowa State over the last five seasons, but that does not mean we should count out the Cyclones. Anybody who knows this rivalry will tell you that either team can win at any time. No matter how good one team or the other is, and this year, both teams are strong. With this game taking place on Iowa State’s home turf, it only makes it more interesting.

We will all certainly be keeping a close eye on the actual game, but as an NFL Draft site, we will obviously be watching for NFL prospects as well. Here are the top 2020 NFL Draft prospects to keep an eye on when the Iowa Hawkeyes take on the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday.
