Josh Jacobs, RB, Oakland Raiders

23 carries, 85 yards rushing, 2 touchdowns

With an impressive Monday Night debut, Jacobs has raked in 2 touchdowns and 85 yards rushing with a three-down-back workload.

He displayed a great initial burst on the hand-off, and ability to identify running lanes in-between the tackles, and took off with impressive explosiveness after he makes his cut to the whole.

His use of jump cuts to get between the A & B gaps is fluid and allows him to hit the hole before many of the linebackers do. Much of his running though came from between the tackles, not having enough speed to add lateral versatility to the Raider’s run game.

From everything that was displayed Monday Night, Jacobs is a between the tackles bruiser who can be on the field for three downs, and can consistently handle the football for 20-plus touches a game.
