Who are the most important rookie players to watch when the New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers for Sunday Night Football in Week 1?

The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers will face off in an extremely interesting Week 1 matchup. As defending Super Bowl champions, the Patriots will raise their sixth Super Bowl banner on Sunday night and will then look to get their season off to a strong start against the Steelers.

New England made major waves on Saturday when they signed superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown to a one-year free-agent contract. You know the story by now, Brown forced his way off of the Steelers and the Oakland Raiders and will now spend 2019 as Tom Brady‘s top weapon in New England. Unfortunately for the Patriots, Brown will not be available in Sunday night’s game against Pittsburgh.

Even without Brown, Brady still leads an impressive New England offense, and they have also put together their most talented defensive unit in recent memory. As always, this team is a legitimate Super Bowl contender who is going to be tough for anybody to beat once they add Brown to the mix.

The Steelers are a bit more under-the-radar to start the season, but they are arguably the favorites to win the AFC North this season. With Ben Roethlisberger leading the way, Pittsburgh undoubtedly has a chance to make a Super Bowl run this season. They will obviously miss Brown and Le’Veon Bell on the offensive side of the ball, but there are still a lot of playmakers for Roethlisberger to get involved. The Steelers should also have a strong defensive unit.

For as talented as these two teams are, you would think that they would not be relying on much from rookie players. However, both of these teams will feature rookies at important places on the roster. That is what we are going to be looking at today.

Without further ado, here are the top rookies to watch in the Week 1 Sunday Night Football matchup between New England and Pittsburgh.
