Oakland Raiders 2020 NFL Draft: Complete seven-round mock draft
Round 1, Pick 25: Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama
Due to the Khalil Mack trade, the Oakland Raiders will have two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. In this mock draft scenario, their pick from the Chicago Bears lands at number 25 overall and gives them a chance to add another impact defender to the mix.
Not long ago, Dylan Moses was the top linebacker prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft with a bullet. He is an incredibly talented prospect who was set up to have a dominating season in the middle of the Alabama defense. Unfortunately, Moses tore his ACL in practice late last month and will now miss the entire 2019 season. He still has a year left of eligibility if he wants to return to Alabama, but it is more likely that Moses still declares for the 2020 NFL Draft.
This injury is obviously a tough blow for Moses, but at least it happened early enough in the year where he can start working towards being ready for the beginning of next season. By the time the 2020 NFL Draft rolls around, Moses could legitimately be close to returning to the field. That being said, this injury will likely still have a major impact on his draft stock.
At one time, Moses was considered to be a top-ten pick. Now, that is extremely unlikely. That being said, this injury does set up a possible opportunity for the Oakland Raiders to add an extremely gifted player at an important position of need with their late first-round pick.
If Moses rehabs well and comes back healthy, he will quickly look like a massive steal in this range. Linebacker is an obvious position of need for the Raiders and they find one who can help take their defense to the next level in this mock draft.
