2020 NFL Draft: First round mock draft as the NFL season begins
10. New York Giants: Grant Delpit, S, LSU
This felt like a slide for Grant Delpit. He is undoubtedly one of the best players in the 2020 NFL draft class, but teams do not tend to value the safety position highly. Falling to the New York Giants at 10 would make Delpit an absolute steal, but this is a realistic scenario.

Delpit has a fantastic combination of athleticism and awareness at the safety position. He always knows where to be on the field and has the speed and quickness to get himself into position on a consistent basis.
The LSU safety is a ferocious run defender who is an absolute animal when playing downhill and also has fantastic skills as a man-to-man and zone defender. Simply put, Delpit is a jack-of-all-trades at the safety position and would be a fantastic player for the Giants to build their defense around.
11. Denver Broncos: Laviska Shenault Jr., WR, Colorado
The Denver Broncos were another team I had trouble decided which direction to go. Cornerback, off-ball linebacker and offensive tackle were all worthy options for this team at number 11. That being said, I decided to go back to the wide receiver well here, sticking local product Laviska Shenault Jr. in Denver.
Shenault is an explosive and versatile offensive weapon who shows fantastic natural athletic ability. He has the speed to beat anybody deep, makes tough catches over the middle of the field and is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands.
Colorado uses Shenault all over the field, playing him outside, in the slot, in an H-back role, at running back and even as a wildcat quarterback. He is a matchup nightmare wherever you line him up and has big-time upside at the next level. Shenault would immediately become a fan favorite with the Broncos and would be a tremendous weapon for Drew Lock or whoever ends up being their long-term quarterback.
