2020 NFL Draft: First round mock draft as the NFL season begins
22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE, Penn State
Yetur Gross-Matos has a rare combination of freak athleticism and a high motor. This guy is incredibly quick and explosive off of the ball and around the edge, while also never giving up on a play and consistently making plays solely because of his effort.
Gross-Matos does have some mental work to do, as he is slow to process information at times and it does hurt him. I would also like to see him work on developing a pass rush plan. However, he is an extremely gifted player who has massive upside at the next level. The Pittsburgh Steelers could undoubtedly use a guy who can get after the quarterback like him.
23. Cleveland Browns: Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn
The Cleveland Browns have put together an incredibly talented roster and should be among the favorites in the AFC this season. However, if anything is going to hold them back from reaching their ceiling, it will likely be their offensive line. The Browns simply have not invested enough in their offensive line and it could easily hurt them this season.
In this mock draft, they land their left tackle of the future in Prince Tega Wanogho of Auburn. Wanogho has ideal size and athleticism for the left tackle position. He is an extremely long and agile offensive lineman who has obvious pass protection upside. That being said, he is also an extremely raw prospect who has obvious flaws in his technique and he must work on becoming stronger at the point of attack.
Wanogho has some work to do, but he is an exciting offensive line prospect who could easily grow into a major asset up front for the Browns.
24. Los Angeles Chargers: Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama
Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses is one of the most interesting prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft. He is a clearly an elite off-ball linebacker prospect, but a recent knee injury could have a major impact on his NFL draft stock.
Will Moses be the same guy when he comes back? Only time will tell. Personally, I think he is still a first-round prospect and since the injury happened so early in the season, he could be ready to go for training camp next season. In this mock draft, the Los Angeles Chargers are the team to take the flyer on Moses.
