Miami Dolphins 2020 NFL Draft: Complete seven-round mock draft
R3P2: Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State
When it is all said and done, Ohio State cornerback Jeffrey Okudah will likely be in the first-round conversation. That being said, we simply have not seen much of him to this point. If he does not show out quite like we expect him to, Okudah could slip a bit to the middle rounds.
The Miami Dolphins could certainly be looking for an outside corner to pair with Xavien Howard and Okudah would be an ideal player to add to the mix. He is an aggressive and athletic man-to-man defender who understands route concepts well and does a nice job of simply separating the receiver from the ball.
Okudah is an extremely instinctual player who relies on his top-tier speed and quickness to close on the ball quickly. He is a tremendous man-to-man defender who has an incredibly high ceiling in the NFL.
R3P41: Eno Benjamin, RB, Arizona State
Eno Benjamin is an extremely smart and patient running back whose ball carrier vision immediately stands out on tape. He does a great job of waiting for the hold to open up and using his quickness to get there in time. Benjamin uses a nice jump cut to get to the hole and has great burst through the line of scrimmage.
His speed in the open field is not special, but it is solid. He is also a surprisingly powerful back who consistently keeps a low pad level on contact and has great natural contact balance. He is also a good route runner and strong overall pass-catcher out of the backfield. In Benjamin, the Miami Dolphins find a reliable back for whoever ends up leading their offense.
