Miami Dolphins 2020 NFL Draft: Complete seven-round mock draft
R2P2: Alton Robinson, EDGE, Syracuse
After taking a pair of potential offensive stars in the first round, the Miami Dolphins look to the defensive side of the ball with their early second-round selection. Alton Robinson is a freak on the edge who has massive upside at the next level. He would be a homerun selection for Miami in the second round.
Robinson explodes off the screen immediately, dominating his opposition with a lightning-quick first step. He is always the first defender out of the blocks and his first step allows him to consistently gain an immediate advantage over his opponent. Robinson is also a slippery edge rusher who bends around the corner with ease and finds his way to the quarterback quickly.
His combination of length and athleticism is exciting and he has started to develop a nice pass rush plan. If this guy develops a legitimate inside move that he can go to with consistency, the sky is the limit.
R2P31: Darryl Williams, IOL, Mississippi State
Back to building the offensive line, as the Miami Dolphins find a legitimate franchise center with their late second-round 2020 NFL Draft pick. Darryl Williams is a smart and strong center prospect who consistently takes care of his assignment. He has a nasty streak that makes him a fun prospect to watch, consistently driving his feet and looking to embarrass his defender.
When engaged, Williams is a joy to watch. However, he does have a lack of quickness and lateral agility that can cause him some issues. He is an interesting 2020 NFL Draft prospect to keep an eye on and a guy who the Dolphins could target as a real centerpiece of their offensive line rebuild.
