No. 11 Oregon vs. No. 16 Auburn: Top 2020 NFL Draft prospects to watch
Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
Obviously, a lot can change in a year, but as things stand now, Justin Herbert is arguably the best quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Herbert will likely be battling Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to be the top overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Herbert is an incredibly gifted quarterback who has a legitimate NFL arm and impressive accuracy to all fields. The Oregon senior quarterback does a nice job of fitting the ball in tight places with accuracy when needed and can also use the proper touch on his passes when needed. He places the ball extremely well, leading his receivers well when necessary and protecting them from big hits when possible.
Herbert is also a good decision-maker who does a great job of reading opposing defenses and has the mobility to create yardage and extend plays with his legs. Simply put, Herbert is an elite quarterback prospect who is going to be an extremely high pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Auburn defense is not a joke. This is going to be a difficult test for Herbert right away, but we are going to learn a lot about him as a prospect, one way or another.
