2020 NFL Draft: Clemson players to watch vs. Georgia Tech
The Clemson Tigers lost a number of top NFL prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft, but what players eligible for the 2020 NFL Draft are in focus vs. Georgia Tech?
Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban are two college coaches with pretty much permanent seats in the green room for the first round of the NFL Draft on an annual basis.
Swinney’s Clemson Tigers have emerged as the top threat to the Alabama dynasty and have now taken down the Crimson Tide twice in National Championship games.
While Clemson lost three first-round picks, four top 40 picks, and six players to the NFL Draft overall in 2019, the 2020 NFL Draft should be strengthened by more first-round players from Swinney’s hoard of four- and five-star players.
As a matter of fact, the 2021 NFL Draft will also feature some of Swinney’s top players right now, and that cycle figures to continue on and on.
Clemson opens their 2019 season against Georgia Tech on Thursday night on the ACC Network.
While Georgia Tech is overmatched and no one is expecting this to be a great game, by any means (the line is Clemson at -36.5), it will be our first opportunity to see the newest era of elite talent playing at Memorial Stadium.
