Indianapolis Colts: 2020 NFL Draft options to replace Andrew Luck
The Indianapolis Colts are still shocked by the stunning retirement of quarterback Andrew Luck. What quarterbacks could they target in the 2020 NFL Draft?
The Indianapolis Colts are left in a state of shock with the retirement of former number one overall draft pick Andrew Luck. Is it possible the 2020 NFL Draft could provide them their solution?
Before the Colts even think about that, their number one hope, at this point, is that Jacoby Brissett works out and becomes the ‘top 20’ quarterback they believe he is.
Brissett started 15 games in the 2017 season for the Colts, and at that time they went 4-11 in his starts while he threw for 3,098 yards and 13 touchdowns with only seven interceptions, but Brissett was sacked a whopping 52 times.
The Colts made it a point the following offseason to fix their offensive line for good, and it paid huge dividends for Andrew Luck, who won comeback player of the year and had a stellar season despite his injuries.
Brissett now inherits command of one of the top rosters in the AFC. If he can’t put it together with this group of players, he’s going to be trying to sign on next year as another team’s emergency QB.
He has a great shot to establish himself as a possible franchise QB, and the Colts hope he can.
If not?
