After the shocking retirement of Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts are going to be in the market for a franchise quarterback. These five obtainable players could help fill the void.

When I first saw the report that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has decided to retire from the NFL, I did not believe it. I double and triple checked the Adam Schefter report, fully expecting to realize that it was a fake account at some point.

However, as we all now know, it was not a fake report. This is all very real. Andrew Luck is retiring from the NFL. After the initial shock wore off, it made sense. Luck has struggled with injuries throughout his career and is clearly frustrated with how he cannot compete the way he wants to.

His latest ankle injury was the final straw. Luck knew that he was going to have to grind through the season injured and was not going to be healthy all year long. Simply put, he has had enough.

Now, the Indianapolis Colts are going to have to plan for life after their franchise quarterback. Before the retirement of Luck, the Colts were one of the most talented and interesting teams in the league and were clearly heading in the right direction. Chris Ballard has done an incredible job of building a deep and dynamic roster on both sides of the ball, putting them in an obvious situation to compete.

However, things are different now. The Colts are still talented enough to compete, but they simply must figure out their quarterback situation. In this post, we are going to take a look at five potential Andrew Luck replacements for the Indianapolis Colts. All of these players are realistic targets who the Colts can either look to bring in now or next offseason to lead their team going forward.
