A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans: 51st pick of 2019 NFL Draft

2019 may be a make or break year for Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, so adding weapons to his arsenal going into the season was a must.

Tennessee did a solid job by bringing in Adam Humphries in free agency and drafting A.J. Brown in the second round of this year’s draft.

Brown finished top 10 in the country in receiving yards in back to back seasons with Ole Miss, as he established himself as one of the best weapons in all of college football.

The former Rebel is a versatile player that will provide the Titans with options within their offense. He’ll likely see a lot of work from the slot but has the build and long speed to play outside as well.

Unfortunately for Brown, he was injured on the first day of Titans camp and missed their first preseason game. He has since been able to return to practice in a limited role, but this absence could mean that it may take Brown a little more time to get the ball rolling for him within the Tennessee Offense.

Mecole Hardman, Kansas City Chiefs: 56th pick of 2019 NFL Draft

The Kansas City Chiefs have arguably the deepest roster of offensive weapons in the NFL today and may have gotten even scarier after snagging Mecole Hardman with their first pick of this past draft.

The former Bulldog fits their style perfectly as he has a versatile skill set that will allow the Chiefs to use him in a similar role as they do Tyreek Hill. In fact, during the draft process many people were comparing him to his new teammate, so now the two will be used within the same offense, which is just plain frightening.

Hardman is an absolute burner and proved that at the NFL combine after clocking a 4.33 40 yard dash, which was tied for the third-fastest time among wide receivers. He is very sudden off the line of scrimmage and doesn’t let his speed get out of control in his routes.

He should fit in well in Kansas City and after the small taste of how quickly Hardman can accelerate after that fly sweep he took for six against the Bengals in his first preseason action, is enough to really get fans salivating at his potential within the offense.
