2019 NFL Draft: Predicting touchdown totals for top rookie wide receivers

There were nine receivers selected in the top two rounds of the 2019 NFL draft. Here are the rookie touchdown predictions for all of them.

While there may not have been a wide receiver with the early first-round hype of a Julio Jones or an A.J. Green, the 2019 NFL draft still had a solid crop of pass catchers for teams to choose from.

Although, the top guys did have to wait a while, as the run on receivers didn’t start until pick 25 when the Ravens selected Marquise Brown. By the end of the second round, though, there were eight others taken, including combine legend D.K. Metcalf.

Each of these nine players will undoubtedly be called upon to help their new team in varying degrees and will work to become a major contributor as the season progresses.

Some will outperform expectations and there will certainly be some that take a little longer to make an impact. That being said, based off of what we know now, here are the predicted touchdown totals for the top rookie wide receivers in 2019.

Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens: 25th pick of 2019 NFL Draft

The Baltimore Ravens were able to trade down in the 2019 NFL draft and still get the guy they wanted at 25 with Marquise Brown.

The former Oklahoma Sooner was one of the most dynamic players in the entire country during his two seasons in Norman, as he racked up 2,413 yards and brought 17 of his 132 catches into the end zone.

He will now join a thin receiver room in Baltimore and there will be high expectations for the pint-sized speedster to make an impact right away.

That should be good news for Ravens fans because I feel Brown will be the perfect complement to Lamar Jackson and I think we’ll see early on that Brown will be the guy getting open downfield when Jackson wants to get out of the pocket. I expect Marquise Brown to have a similar impact for Baltimore this season, as Calvin Ridley had for the Falcons in 2018.
