Mack Wilson, LB, Cleveland Browns

One of the stories of the offseason has been the Cleveland Browns’ incredible roster assembly.

The Browns traded for Odell Beckham Jr. and Olivier Vernon. They signed Sheldon Richardson and Kareem Hunt. They used their top pick on Greedy Williams, a projected first-round player who fell to the middle of round two.

Then the Browns were able to somehow steal Alabama linebacker Mack Wilson in the fifth round of the NFL Draft.

Wilson was known for his coverage abilities at Alabama, and put those on full display in the Browns’ preseason opener against the Redskins.

He took this interception to the house off of Washington Redskins first-round pick Dwayne Haskins.

Imagine what kind of icing on the cake Wilson would be for the Browns if he can develop into a starter right away. This team already had such a phenomenal offseason, but getting a guy like this to be an instant starter in round five would be some kind of coup for John Dorsey and Cleveland’s front office.
