Why Tyreek Hill to the Buffalo Bills makes sense for both teams
A Tyreek Hill trade to the Buffalo Bills could make sense for everyone involved.
Could the Buffalo Bills find themselves in the Tyreek Hill market? The Kansas City Chiefs were quick to release Kareem Hunt after his physical altercation with a woman, so I expect them to be shopping Tyreek Hill around the league after his continued issues.
Simply put, it wouldn’t make sense for the Chiefs to keep Hill after releasing Hunt if their management wants to instill a positive culture in their locker room.
The NFL didn’t suspend Tyreek Hill after months of investigations. Hill has had more than one off the field issue in his past and even openly admitted to physically abusing his girlfriend in the past.
From his past incidents to the current audio of threats against his girlfriend and child you’d think it would be enough to warrant a suspension.
So why did Goodell not suspend Hill but suspended other players like Ray Rice, Ezekiel Elliott, Jimmy Smith and Ben Roethlisberger before they were proven guilty or not? Maybe Goodell is trying to not punish a player too soon before all the evidence is there for him to make a decision.
Whether or not if it was was a mistake for the league to make the call that they did, Hill is one of the top wide receivers in this league and will generate trade interest if the Chiefs decide to move on from him.
If a team is serious about making a run for Hill, it needs to be a team with a strong coaching staff who won’t tolerate off-field issues. A few teams come to mind but none of them fit the bill like the Buffalo Bills.
That’s why the Kansas City Chiefs should be on the phone with the Buffalo Bills and general manager Brandon Beane for a possible trade that would work for both sides. So what would a trade look like between the Chiefs and the Bills that will make sense for both sides? Kansas City would ship over Tyreek Hill to Buffalo for LeSean McCoy, Zay Jones and a fourth-round draft pick. Both teams will also swap 7th round picks in the 2020 NFL draft.
Let’s take a look at why this trade works for both sides.
