3. New York Jets

Greatest strength: Defensive front, QB/RB duo

Greatest weakness: Receivers, offensive line

The New York Jets put their chips in the center of the table last year in order to get themselves a quarterback, and it paid off.

The Jets probably had no idea they would be getting Sam Darnold, who was QB1 on many draft boards, but sitting at three overall, they were probably dancing around their war room when Darnold fell past the second pick and into their laps.

Despite the price they paid to move up, the Jets didn’t compromise their ability to build between 2018 and 2019, and now have a very good-looking foundation, especially up front defensively.

The addition of Quinnen Williams to Leonard Williams and Henry Anderson gives the Jets a fearsome group up front on that side of the ball, and their free agent pickup of CJ Mosley to pair with Avery Williamson gives them one of the best LB duos in the NFL.

Jamal Adams is a superstar at safety who makes it feel like the Jets have 12 defenders on the field.

Despite the trade for Kelechi Osemele this offseason, the Jets have a weak offensive line and that could be a problem.

I love the duo of Sam Darnold and Le’Veon Bell at QB/RB, but Darnold’s WR group leaves something to be desired.
