Remaining free agents Cleveland Browns should consider signing

The Cleveland Browns should check in on these remaining NFL free agents.

The Cleveland Browns are in a position to be legitimate contenders in the AFC this season, which is not something that they have been able to say for an extremely long time. General manager John Dorsey and his staff have done an incredible job of building this roster in recent years and they are now in a position to take the next step.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield is a star in the making, edge rusher Myles Garrett appears to be on his way to becoming one of the best defenders in the NFL and superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham could revolutionize the entire offense. Add in their strong depth and key playmakers across many other positions and the Browns are undoubtedly on their way to becoming competitive.

As things stand now, the Cleveland Browns should be considered the favorites in the AFC North this season. They are absolutely loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and their best players take care of the most important positions. With this kind of opportunity to succeed available, the Browns must be ready to do what they can to compete. This means adding quality depth to the roster as training camp approaches.

With over $34 million in cap space to work with, the Browns have plenty of room to sign a couple of players who can help them reach their potential. They undoubtedly have a strong roster, but there are some depth concerns at certain positions that could be addressed. I am not saying that they should go out and invest a ton of long-term money, but they have the opportunity to improve their team in the short-term.

The Browns are in a great position to add veteran free agents at this point of the offseason. They are one of the most exciting teams in the NFL and have a legitimate chance to make a run at a Super Bowl. I would imagine that these veterans would consider Cleveland a great place for them to land this late in free agency.
