Should the Atlanta Falcons trade WR Mohamed Sanu?

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have never had an impressive wide receiver core. They rely on defense and just scoring enough to squeak by. Well now that they have Lamar Jackson going into his second season, they need to give him some weapons to succeed at quarterback.

In the offseason they lost receiver John Brown who was there for one season, and actually produced well for them recording 42 receptions and 715 yards. He’s a nice deep threat receiver who averaged 17 yards a catch. He’s being replaced by rookie Marquise Brown.

The Ravens drafted Brown in the first round of the 2019 draft and he has potential to be one of the best out of his class of receivers. Behind Brown there is uncertainty with their depth as Willie Snead IV has been productive over his career when he was in New Orleans with an elite passer in Drew Brees.

In Baltimore his numbers dropped, whether its due to Lamar Jackson throwing the ball a lot less last season or his play was overshadowed because Drew Brees threw to him a lot more making him a better player. Time will tell if he’s a number two guy in Baltimore.

The other receivers on the roster in Baltimore are Seth Roberts, Chris Moore, Miles Boykin, Jordon Lesley, and Jaleel Scott. They have a number of young guys on this roster besides Snead and Roberts who can progress.

I think the Ravens would be more consistent with Mohamed Sanu next season. Sanu brings leadership to a young core of wide receivers and helps Lamar Jackson with critical third down conversions, not having to always rely on his feet to make plays.
