Should the Atlanta Falcons trade WR Mohamed Sanu?

The Steelers are in a different position after last season. They traded star receiver Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders and are relying on third year receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to take the top spot.

Losing a player of Brown’s ability is a huge loss, no doubt. He’s posted at least 1,200 yards in each of the last six seasons proving to be one of the top playmakers in the NFL. Replacing him isn’t easy but Smith-Schuster has done a fantastic job in his first two seasons.

Smith-Schuster put up solid numbers last season in a number two role, recording 111 receptions, 1,426 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Besides having Smith-Schuster on the roster they have Donte Moncrief, James Washington, Ryan Switzer, and Diontae Johnson. I’m not big on Moncrief as a number two receiver and I think Sanu would be a more reliable player for Ben Roethlisberger when he needs a third down conversion.

The young receivers with little playing time like Switzer and Washington can learn a lot from a veteran receiver in the locker room. The Steelers can also wait to start their rookie draft pick Diontae Johnson.
