The Eagles gave Carson Wentz a four-year extension of his own this offseason, making it clear that he is their guy going forward. The Eagles would have loved to keep Foles around in the same role, but it was clear that Foles had a market as a starting quarterback in the NFL, and the Eagles let him go take advantage of that opportunity.
