7. Chicago Bears: Marcus Peters, CB, Washington

Original Pick: Kevin White

Kevin White’s stats for three seasons with the Bears were 25 receptions for 285 yards and no touchdowns. That just simply will not cut it for a wide receiver in this league, let alone a top ten pick. The Bears need cornerback help as well and land the best corner in this NFL draft class. Marcus Peters has had 22 interceptions in four seasons with Kansas City and the LA Rams.

Peters would par well with Kyle Fuller and help elevate his game. Fuller has had some injuries throughout his career but had a solid year last year, notching 55 tackles and seven interceptions. Peters and Fuller would have formed one of the best cornerback duos in the entire NFL. That would particularly come in handy against Aaron Rodgers twice a year.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson

Original Pick: Beasley

Besides Mariota going to the Titans, this pick is the only other in the top ten that I left alone. Vic Beasley was stellar in 2016 with 15.5 sacks and making the Pro Bowl and First-team All-Pro. He hasn’t been the same player since that season but I believe he’s better than Folwer who slipped out of the top ten in this redo draft.

Even if Beasley isn’t recording the sacks, he’s a versatile player and can play at linebacker or defensive end. Of course, we’d like to seem him get back to double-digit sack numbers and I really think he could with Dan Quinn calling plays on defense next season. Bringing back a veteran player in Adrian Clayborn should help him as well.
