Pinkney is interesting because he’s the only offensive skill position player listed among the top eight players in the country according to the NFS committee.

This kid is certainly deserving.

This is another guy who could have come out after his junior season and been picked high, but there were two guys coming out of Iowa — TJ Hockenson and Noah Fant — stealing the spotlight and Pinkney probably has a better chance of being the top TE picked in 2020.

At 6-foot-4, 255 pounds, Pinkney has outstanding athleticism giving him the catch radius of a dynamic 225-pound receiver.

Couple his playmaking ability when the ball is in the air with his outstanding after the catch abilities, and it’s no wonder Pinkney is being considered a first-round player for the 2020 NFL Draft.

He finished his junior season with 50 catches for 774 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging almost 16 yards per reception. Among his 50 receptions, 32 plays went for 10 or more yards.

He’s a playmaker.
