Round 1, Pick 31: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia

Original Pick: Sony Michel, RB, Georgia

I did consider sticking with Michel here. He was essential for the New England Patriots, scoring six rushing touchdowns throughout their post-season run. He proved himself to be a capable starting back who has a nice combination of quickness and power at the point of attack. Michel is also a smart and patient back who understands how to find and wait for the hole.

However, injuries continue to be the story with Michel and he did not do anything last season that his college teammate, Nick Chubb, could not have done. Chubb proved to be an incredibly explosive playmaker last season, piling up 996 yards and eight touchdowns on only 192 carries. He also caught 20 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Chubb went only four picks after Michel, landing with the Cleveland Browns early in the second round. He did not get much of an opportunity to shine early on, but Chubb quickly became a major playmaker for the Browns with the ball in his hands.

Chubb sets up his blocks well, showing the necessary patience and vision to get the job done. He is also a quick and elusive runner and shows incredible burst through the hole. Simply put, he is a true home run hitter who can also provide dependability.

Michel has not been a bad pick, but Chubb simply would have been a better one.
