Pick 1b: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU

Original pick: Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan

This is not going to be a defense-heavy draft, just to forewarn you all. With that said, I went with the same position group here for the Browns who felt Jabrill Peppers was worthy of being one of their franchise cornerstones as of the 2017 offseason.

Tre’Davious White was still on the board at this selection, had a better resumé in college, and plays a more important position.

It’s no question the Bills are the ones looking back and loving the fact that he fell while the Browns would be kicking themselves were it not for Peppers’ inclusion in the Odell Beckham Jr. trade, which could have probably been consummated without him.

White has 26 pass breakups and six interceptions in his first two seasons, and looks like one of the best players — not just corners — under 25 in the entire NFL.
