1. Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals

I am a big believer in the late round quarterback approach. It is rarely advantageous to take a quarterback early in the draft. The NFL is a pass-happy league and the big-time passing numbers are coming from everywhere. Load up on running backs and wide receivers early and wait on your the quarterback position.

Personally, I like to pinpoint an undervalued quarterback or two in a pass-heavy offense to target later in drafts. Every year there is a guy like this worth taking a chance on. Basically, we are simply shooting for upside. Last year, Patrick Mahomes was the guy and look how that turned out.

Obviously, Mahomes is the best case scenario, but if you miss on your upside quarterback pick, you can still survive by streaming at the position. This year, Arizona Cardinals rookie Kyler Murray is my upside quarterback target.

Murray enters the league as an elite playmaker at the quarterback position. He is an incredibly mobile quarterback who is going to eat up points with his legs and undoubtedly has the arm talent to put up major production as a passer.

Murray is the unquestioned starter for the Arizona Cardinals and will undoubtedly have ample opportunity to put up major fantasy football points in Kliff Kingsbury‘s spread offensive attack. He might be a bit inconsistent, but Murray is an incredibly talented player who is going to have every opportunity to put up points.

His current ADP of 8.06 makes Murray a nice value and the top 2019 rookie to value in fantasy football drafts.
