1. Los Angeles Rams: Jared Goff, QB

Original Pick: Goff

When the Los Angeles Rams traded up and selected Jared Goff with the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, things were a lot different. This was a team and organization stuck in mediocrity and had little promise for the long-term. However, after replacing head coach Jeff Fisher with Sean McVay, everything changed.

McVay has helped turn the Rams into one of the best teams in the NFL and they were one game away from becoming Super Bowl champions last February. It is fair to argue Goff’s value to the Rams. McVay is such a brilliant offensive mind, he could probably get adequate play out of any NFL caliber quarterback.

That being said, I do not think the Rams would want to change anything major about their current team. Goff has obviously been a major part of their success the past couple seasons and is a huge reason why they will be serious Super Bowl contenders in 2019 and beyond.

They are many talented players from the 2016 class and the Rams have the ability to take any of them in this scenario. It is not an easy choice, but keeping Goff as the franchise quarterback certainly makes the most sense.
