13. Miami Dolphins: Jack Conklin, OT

Original Pick: OL Laremy Tunsil

The fall of Laremy Tunsil was the most interesting story of the 2016 NFL Draft. On the day of the draft, Tunsil was expected to be a top-five pick. However, the infamous gas mask video hit the internet as the draft began and Tunsil’s draft stock fell. The Miami Dolphins scooped him up at number 13 and he has certainly shown some promise as their franchise left tackle.

Tunsil was far from a bad pick by the Dolphins, but there are better options available here. Instead, they snag Jack Conklin, who is a far more consistent and reliable offensive tackle for the Dolphins to build around.

14. Oakland Raiders: Kevin Byard, S

Original Pick: S Karl Joseph

The selection of Karl Joseph at number 14 by the Oakland Raiders in the 2016 NFL Draft was met with skepticism. Joseph was a good college player, but he had holes in his game and was coming off of a major knee injury. Simply put, the pick was a reach and it looks pretty bad three years later.

The Raiders have already declined their fifth-year option on Joseph and he is likely about to play his final season in black and silver. Safety was a need for the Raiders at the time, but they clearly drafted the wrong one.

Kevin Byard has grown into one of the best free safeties in the NFL. He is a true playmaker on the back-end and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2017. He is a much better NFL player than Joseph.
