Top five NFL free agents sill available and their best team fits
Dez Bryant – Wide Receiver – Best Team Fit: Seattle Seahawks
With the release and unfortunate retirement of Doug Baldwin, the Seattle Seahawks have a hole at wide receiver.
While yes, newly minted Seahawk D.K. Metcalf shows a ton of promise and will probably be the teams WR1, that doesn’t mean couldn’t use more help. Outside of Metcalf, they have Tyler Lockett, John Ursua, Gary Jennings, David Moore, and Jaron Brown as their main guys at wide receiver.

Now that’s no to say that Lockett or some of the other guys I named do not possess the potential to step up in that receiver room. However, I am saying that a veteran presence like Dez Bryant would help them tremendously.
Given Bryant’s age and a recent bout with injuries, I would understand being hesitant on signing Bryant. But if the Seahawks are serious about making the playoffs again, then this wouldn’t be the worst move they could make.
Tre Boston – Saftey – Best Fit: San Francisco 49ers
After not touching the secondary until the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft when they selected cornerback Tim Harris from the University of Virginia, the 49ers could use a Tre Boston.
In Robert Saleh’s defense, Boston would play free safety over Adrian Colbert and D.J. Reed, who are two younger guys who haven’t shown much on the field. I almost put Eric Berry here as Jaquiski Tartt has been very inconsistent, however free safety is much bigger need than strong.
With Boston on their camp, the 49ers get a more than a solid veteran starter who can be a voice on defense. While not a ball hawk, Boston is a capable cover safety and a valuable asset vs the run.
If I was John Lynch, I would give Boston a call and try to sign him to a light, multi-year deal. Of all of the NFL free agents available, Boston makes the most sense for San Francisco.
