Picking 5 of the NFL’s best players under 26 years old
3. Bradley Chubb, DE, Denver Broncos
If you’re building the foundation of a team, I think you’ve got to have at least one if not two good edge defenders.
I’m taking Bradley Chubb as my top edge defender and I’m projecting here a bit, even though Chubb probably had the quietest 12-sack rookie season of all-time.
Playing opposite Von Miller, Chubb is not always going to have the spotlight, but his 12 sacks as a rookie did not come cheap and he wasn’t just playing cleanup duty or anything like that.
We know from his days at NC State that Chubb is a polished player already at this point who is only going to get better. He converts speed to power as well as just about anyone, and has the ability to set the edge in any type of defense.
Chubb also showed he’s no slouch in coverage this past season, a pleasant surprise in a pinch.
This guy is going to be a star for a long time.
