2019 NFL Season: Four QBs primed for their best season yet
By Joel Deering
The 2019 NFL season is shaping up to be a good one, and we expect elevated play from several players. Here are four QBs primed for their best season yet.
Every season, we see several players around the league who breakout, having their best season yet. In this article, I’m not going to go over every possible breakout star of the 2019 NFL season. Instead, I’m sticking with the QBs.
After looking at every potential starting QB in the NFL this upcoming season, I compiled a list of four QBs primed for their best season yet. I did have to put certain restraints on this list. One of those restraints was that the QBs had to at least be entering their third NFL season.
I could have thrown QBs like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen on here, but I thought it would have been two easy to say they’re going to have their best season yet. Lamar Jackson started just seven games last season, so of course he’s going to have better numbers over 16 games in 2019.
Josh Allen completed just 52.8% of his passes, and threw more INTs than TDs in his first NFL season. It shouldn’t be hard for him to have his best NFL season in year two.
I also didn’t include the seasoned veterans of the league. For this list, I wanted guys who are just entering their prime. I wanted guys who had a little bit of experience, but who we haven’t seen play their best football yet. With that in mind, here’s my list of four QBs primed for their best season yet.
