Best moves made by the Kansas City Chiefs this off season.

The Kansas City Chiefs came within a few plays of reaching the Super Bowl last season. Led by MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs had the best and most explosive offense in the NFL and are undoubtedly major threats in the AFC going forward.

That being said, their defense undoubtedly let them down in the AFC Championship Game, as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were able to score at will down the stretch. If the Chiefs are going to take the next step, they simply must improve on the defensive side of the ball.

This off season, the Kansas City Chiefs made their defense a priority and took significant steps to improve their ability to stop opposing offenses. Perhaps most importantly, they replaced former defensive coordinator Bob Sutton with Steve Spagnuolo.

Spagnuolo is a well-respected defensive coach whose 4-3 defense should fit in well with the current stock of defensive talent in Kansas City. The addition of Spagnuolo is undoubtedly important, but today we are going to focus on on-field additions.

Here are the top three moves made by the Kansas City Chiefs this off season.
