3. Drafting RB Miles Sanders

Saquon Barkley commanded the attention and all of the touches for Penn State while he was on campus, so it’s understandable that when he left, so did most of the eyes.

Obviously Penn State is a huge program and Miles Sanders is no slouch as a prospect, but he was not given the right amount of attention given his skillset and ability to contribute year one in the NFL.

Sanders averaged just under six yards per carry as Penn State’s featured back this season. He’s fast, explosive, excellent in the open field, and could be just what the doctor ordered for the Eagles at running back.

And yes, I’m aware they traded for Jordan Howard.

While Howard is certainly a proven player in this league, I think Sanders is unquestionably the more talented prospect and it won’t be long (in my estimation) before he’s taken over the featured role in this offense.

Getting him in round two was a nice coup for the Eagles.
