2. Kendall Blanton, Tight End

Kendall Blanton looks every bit the part of an NFL tight end, but he just didn’t show enough in the pre-draft process athletically to warrant draft consideration considering his underwhelming production in college.

Blanton would make the standout play while at Missouri, but he was consistently overshadowed by the man they call “Albert O” (who is going to be an NFL tight end next year) at the TE position and missed some time with injury.

He reminds me somewhat of Austin Seferian-Jenkins in terms of his untapped potential, injury issues, and big splash plays on tape.

Blanton ran a 4.95 at the Scouting Combine, a number you can smell from miles away but he also plays much faster than that on tape and has a primary skill the top tight ends on the Rams currently don’t — he can block.

Watch out for this guy.
