Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks made Russell Wilson the most well-paid quarterback in NFL history this offseason.

That’s the good news for Wilson and Seahawks fans.

The bad news? Doug Baldwin is being forced to retire due to injuries he’s suffered throughout his career, and the Seahawks’ offense is taking a huge hit with that loss.

They attempted to diminish that loss in the 2019 NFL Draft by taking two of the best deep ball receivers in the class in Ole Miss’ DK Metcalf and West Virginia’s Gary Jennings.

These guys are both looking solid in their new uniforms.

I love both of these pickups for the Seahawks.

I didn’t think Metcalf was overrated going into the draft process, but I like him even better where the Seahawks got him than where many expected he would be drafted (first round).

He’s going to be fun to watch in that offense catching passes from Russell Wilson.

No offense meant to Metcalf, but the Seahawks got a much more proven player in Gary Jennings much later in the draft. Jennings is one of the best deep ball receivers in this class (along with Metcalf) but had a heck of a lot more production in college.

These are really fun picks for the Seahawks. Hopefully one or both of these guys can develop quickly.
