Ryan Finley had a number of solid targets in the passing game at North Carolina State, including a former quarterback in Jakobi Meyers.

Meyers began his NC State career as a quarterback/offensive weapon with the Wolfpack before he became one of the most reliable receivers on the team.

He caught 63 passes as a junior and 92 this past year as a senior.

No other receiver in this year’s draft class had as many slot receptions as Meyers, who caught 85 of his 92 passes last season out of the slot.

He has developed into quite the player, and was projected as a no-brainer day three selection in this year’s draft.

Unfortunately, he fell out of the draft completely while the guy many thought to be a day two prospect (Kelvin Harmon) went in the sixth round, surprisingly.

Meyers has a chance to break into a New England receiver room with plenty of question marks this season.
