2019 NFL Draft: Fixing one pick for each NFC West team
San Francisco 49ers 2019 NFL Draft Picks:
Round 1 (2): Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
Round 2 (36): Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
Round 3 (67): Jalen Hurd, WR, Baylor
Round 4 (110): Mitch Wishnowsky, P, Utah
Round 5 (148): Dre Greenlaw, LB, Arkansas
Round 6 (176): Kaden Smith, TE, Stanford
Round 6 (183): Justin Skule, OT, Vanderbilt
Round 6 (198): Tim Harris, CB, Virginia
49ers select Amani Hooker, S, Iowa instead of Mitch Wishnowsky
The addition of Nick Bosa is a big one for the San Francisco 49ers. He has a chance to be an elite playmaker on the edge and help take the 49ers defense to the next level.

The selection of Deebo Samuel in the second round could also end up being a big one. Samuel has had some health issues but he consistently creates separation in his routes and is an absolute playmaker with the ball in his hands. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is going to create space for Samuel and he is going to have a chance to be an immediate impact player.
After Bosa and Samuel, I can take or leave the rest of this class. Jalen Hurd has some obvious upside, but taking him in the third round seems like a reach. Mitch Wishnowsky is a great punter, but taking a punter in the fourth round is never a good idea. Replacing Wishnowsky is the direction we are going to go here.
Instead of reaching on a punter, the 49ers should have taken Amani Hooker, the safety out of Iowa. Hooker is a young and athletic safety prospect who has nice upside at the next level. He is a capable deep safety who shows solid range in the back-end, but Hooker is best used as a hybrid in-the-box player.
He shows fantastic man-to-man coverage skills, is tough against the run and can make an impact as a roaming playmaker. Simply put, he is a talented player who has obvious defensive upside and immediate special teams value. Passing up on Hooker for a punter when the 49ers have a need at safety is absolutely baffling.
