2020 NFL Draft: Early look at top five quarterbacks
2. Justin Herbert, Oregon
Let’s get one thing straight, there are some things on Justin Herbert’s film that make any football fan drop their jaw. Plays where you have to rewind the tape to actually see the ball.
There are plays where he’s seemingly the best athlete on the field at 6-foot-6, 235 pounds as well.
So, pairing this type of athleticism with that type of arm on a frame like that will have NFL scouts more than interested in getting their hands on him.
There are some serious questions to match that incredible talent. The completion percentage dropped from 67.5% in seven games as a sophomore (non-throwing shoulder injury midway through the season, returned for last three games), to a measly 59.4% this past season. Granted, he doesn’t have a ton of help in terms of weapons, unlike our first guy and the next one.
Nonetheless, he makes some questionable decisions with the ball, but I mean, let’s all be honest, if you could flick it like this guy, you’d think you could make every throw too.
