Kansas City Chiefs

As with many of these picks, it’s not that I hated any one pick for each team. I’m looking at ways I might change or improve these picks.

I love Khalen Saunders as a prospect. I know the Chiefs struggled badly on defense last year so using one of their top three actual draft selections on a defensive player doesn’t bother me, but what about the loss of Mitch Morse at the center position?

The Chiefs could have had one of the more underrated linemen coming out this year in Connor McGovern, who looks like an instant starter in the NFL at either right guard or center, with their late third-round pick.

The Chiefs got Mecole Hardman earlier and they weren’t in range for Erik McCoy at that time (though they easily could have traded up) and they got a nice steal in Juan Thornhill shortly after that, but I think the Chiefs would have been better off with McGovern had they simply stayed put in the same slots.
