Way-too-early 2020 NFL mock draft: Getting to know the 2020 class
Once again, the Alabama football program is absolutely loaded with impact draft talent and it shows with their players going with three consecutive picks here. Henry Ruggs III landing with the Green Bay Packers would be an extremely exciting pairing.
Ruggs showcases elite speed at the wide receiver position, showing the ability to consistently stretch the field and create separation on all routes. He is also an impressive playmaker with the ball in his hands who can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.
Getting Aaron Rodgers a guy like Ruggs would almost be unfair, as the Packers offense could quickly become unstoppable. He would be an ideal complement to Davante Adams and have massive upside in this offense.
The Dallas Cowboys brought Jason Witten out of retirement, but he is obviously not a long-term solution at the tight end position. In this 2020 NFL mock draft, the Cowboys get Dak Prescott an intriguing tight end prospect, snagging Albert Okwuegbunam out of Missouri.
Okwuegbunam may have an incredibly difficult name to spell and pronounce, but he is an extremely talented football player who has big-time upside at the next level. Okwuegbunam has an impressive combination of size, speed and athleticism on the inside, showing the ability to stretch the middle of the field and make contested catches in traffic. He is also an impressive playmaker who can create yardage after the catch with power and quickness.
Okwuegbunam is not the most polished blocker, but he has the skills necessary to be solid in that area at the next level. He is already a dynamic threat in the passing game and I would bet that he becomes a solid blocker as well.
