Every season there are NFL playoff teams from the year before who take a step back, missing the playoffs. Here are three teams who will step back in 2019.

Every NFL postseason only allows 12 teams to participate in the playoffs, with six teams from each conference.

Last season we saw the Chiefs, Chargers, Patriots, Texans, Ravens and Colts make the playoffs in the AFC. In the NFC, we saw the Saints, Rams, Bears, Cowboys, Seahawks and Eagles in the playoffs.

What are the chances we see the same 12 NFL playoff teams make the playoffs next season? Not great. Each of these NFL playoff teams from last season will enter the 2019 season with expectations of making the playoffs again, but not all of them will live up to those expectations.

After looking over the 12 NFL playoff teams from last season, I’ve come to the decision that three of those teams are destined to miss the playoffs in 2019.
