The New England Patriots have revamped their wide receiver position this offseason and if each player lives up to their potential, teams better watch out.

Tom Brady has had some pretty stellar wide receivers in his career with the New England Patriots, which has been nearly half of his lifetime.

Some of those great receivers include his current slot star Julian Edelman, but also some former superstars like Wes Welker, Randy Moss, Deion Branch, and others through the years who have made significant contributions to this team.

As good as Brady’s receivers have been, their success could probably be tied largely to how good Brady is, though a superstar like Moss hitting his prime with Brady also playing MVP-caliber football is a recipe for disaster almost no NFL team could figure out.

The Patriots’ 2019 receiver group looks really solid on paper, perhaps one of the most talented Brady has ever had from top to bottom. Here are his top weapons currently.

Julian Edelman
Demaryius Thomas
N’Keal Harry
Dontrelle Inman
Phillip Dorsett

Though the Patriots don’t necessarily have overwhelming depth here, the have some big names and players who could really make an impact this season.

The Patriots are also being patient with the situation of Josh Gordon. Gordon is a huge weapon for this offense if he’s eligible to play.

Demaryius Thomas has been a shell of himself for the past couple of seasons, but if anyone can get him in a role that suits his current skill set it’s Josh McDaniels along with Tom Brady.

Edelman is going to keep doing what Edelman does.

N’Keal Harry brings that ‘alpha’ mentality to the receiver position for the Patriots and I loved the value of that pick at 32 overall.

Inman has been a vastly underrated WR4 or WR5 throughout his NFL career, and has been a reliable outlet for some of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. Now he gets to play with Tom Brady after playing with Andrew Luck last year and Phillip Rivers for the majority of his career before that.

Dorsett definitely has speed but hasn’t lived up to his first-round billing. The Patriots obviously still like him enough to keep him around as a fit for their system.

With no Rob Gronkowski and only Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Matt LaCosse coming in to fill the void he’s left behind, we could see a lot more from the wide receivers in New England than we have in years past.

Thankfully for them, they have a very interesting group of players with talent, experience, and well-rounded skill sets.
